COME LEARN THE OLYMPIC SPORT OF ROWING

Tampa Athletic Club offers team-building, learn-to-row events at our beautiful Tampa River Center boathouse on the Hillsborough River.  Rowers make some of the best leaders and team members in the world. Your team will be learning the same principles that empower rowers to be uniquely qualified to face the challenges they encounter in business and life. Each boat will benefit from the instruction and experience of our high-performance, US Rowing certified coaches in a fun and engaging environment.

OUR TEAM BUILDING EVENT INCLUDES:
 

• A 3-hour team-building event for your employees

• ​Introduction to the sport of rowing

• Instruction and practice on the rowing machine

• Training in boats on the water

• Team Building in action

• Includes all equipment, coaching, and volunteers

There is a total of 8 rowers & 1 coxswain for each boat. We will supply the appropriate number of volunteers to fill and secure the balance of all boats safely.

WHEN CAN IT BE SCHEDULED?

 

Tampa Athletic Club can be flexible to fit your company's event schedule. Normally, our corporate learn-to-row team-building event starts at 9am on weekday mornings. Our learning session continues on land and water until 1pm.  However, we can customize the event to fit your group of participants. Just ask!

WHAT IS REQUIRED?

 

There is NO experience needed. We will teach you everything you need to know!

However, there are a few limitations:

1) each participant must be able to carry 35lbs over their head

2) each participant must be under 235lbs in weight

3) each person must be able to tread water for a minimum of 1 minute
